What's Ascorbyl-Glucoside?

Ascorbyl glucoside is a derivative of L-ascorbic acid (vitamin C). But unlike regular vitamin C, which can sometimes irritate the skin, ascorbyl glucoside is much more gentle. It may not be as potent compared to L-ascorbic acid, but it’s stable in the formulation and not irritating to the skin.

Ascorbyl glucoside shows all anti-ageing properties of vitamin C - antioxidant, collagen booster and skin brightener. It is stable and can penetrate the skin. In-vitro studies show that after ascorbyl glucoside is absorbed into the skin it is converted to pure vitamin C.
